Ziyad Bundhun

Ziyad is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of New Africa Advisors, a corporate finance and mergers & acquisitions (M&A) advisory firm covering Mauritius, the Indian Ocean region and Africa. He has cumulated more than 25 years’ experience as an investment and finance professional, having worked in the corporate finance, M&A advisory, private equity, banking and trust services.

From 2011 till 2017, prior to setting up New Africa Advisors, he served the Mauritius-based conglomerate Rogers Group as Chief Finance & Investment Executive. There, he spearheaded several of the group’s reorganisation and strategic initiatives following the exit of a significant shareholder.

Between 2006 and 2011, Ziyad led the private equity arm of the Mauritius Commercial Bank as Managing Director of MCB Capital Partners. Managing a USD 100m captive fund of the banking group, he oversaw multiple acquisitions in Mauritius, Reunion, Madagascar and France.

In 2003, he founded the Mauritius office of Mazars, an international audit and consulting group.
In 1990, Ziyad qualified as a Chartered Accountant in the United Kingdom. He is also a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.
